Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson has introduced the live-action remake of his fashionable Disney film Moana.
Johnson, who voiced the character of Maui, the demigod of the wind and sea, within the 2016 animated characteristic, shared the information on Twitter.
“Humbled to say we’re bringing Moana’s lovely story to the live-action huge display screen! Maui modified my life (miss you grandpa) and I am honoured to companion with Disney to inform our story by way of the realm of music and dance, which on the core is who we’re as Polynesian folks,” the 50-year-old actor tweeted.
Set in historic Polynesia, the movie follows the story of Moana, the strong-willed daughter of a chief of a coastal village, who’s chosen by the ocean itself to reunite a mystical relic with the goddess Te Fiti.
When a blight strikes her island, Moana units sail in the hunt for Maui, a legendary demigod, within the hope of returning the relic to Te Fiti and saving her folks.
Actor Auli’i Cravalho, who voiced Moana within the authentic animated movie, will govt produce with Scott Sheldon of Flynn Image Co, reported leisure information outlet Selection.
John Musker and Ron Clements directed the unique film, from a narrative by themselves, Chris Williams, Don Corridor, Pamela Ribon, Aaron Kandell and Jordan Kandell. Bush was the only credited screenwriter.
The live-action movie is being produced by Johnson’s personal Seven Bucks Productions, alongside Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia — the identical group behind his DC Comics enterprise Black Adam. The unique Moana collected $690.8 million (about Rs. 5,677 crore) on the world field workplace in opposition to an estimated funds of $150 million (about Rs. 1,233 crore).
Again in February, Disney introduced animated sequels for Toy Story, Frozen, and Zootopia, that are presently within the early phases of growth. Identical to the aforementioned Moana, none of them has a confirmed launch window, for now.
