Salesforce inventory fell 5% Monday after stories over the weekend that the cloud software program firm is in superior talks to purchase data-management agency Informatica.
Shares of Informatica dropped 9% on Monday following the stories.
The value being weighed is under Informatica’s closing inventory worth on Friday of $38.48, based on The Wall Avenue Journal, which first reported the talks on Friday. A Reuters article mentioned the deal might be introduced quickly.
If the deal is made, it might mark Salesforce’s newest in a collection of acquisitions lately. It could even be its largest deal since buying office chat developer Slack for almost $28 billion in 2021 — Salesforce’s largest acquisition thus far.
Earlier than paying for Slack, Salesforce purchased knowledge visualization firm Tableau for $15.3 billion in 2019 and MuleSoft for $6.5 billion in 2018.
