Adam Selipsky, CEO of Amazon‘s cloud computing enterprise, will step down from his position subsequent month, the corporate introduced Tuesday.
Matt Garman, senior vp of gross sales and advertising at Amazon Net Providers, will succeed Selipsky, Amazon stated.
In a memo to staff, Selipsky stated he was leaving AWS after nearly twenty years to spend extra time along with his household, and stated “the long run is vivid” for the juggernaut cloud enterprise.
“Given the state of the enterprise and the management staff, now could be an acceptable second for me to make this transition, and to take the chance to spend extra time with household for some time, recharge a bit, and create some psychological free area to replicate and contemplate the chances,” Selipsky wrote.
