Music composer Ricky Kej, based mostly out of Bengaluru, has received his third Grammy Award for the album ‘Divine Tides’ and devoted the honour to his residence nation, India.
The US-born musician shared the award with Stewart Copeland, the drummer of the enduring British rock band The Police, who collaborated with Kej on the album.
On the sixty fifth Annual Grammy Awards, the duo earned the gramophone trophy within the Finest Immersive Audio album class. They beforehand received a Grammy in the perfect new age album class for a similar album final yr.

Different nominees within the class have been: Christina Aguilera (Aguilera), The Chainsmokers (Reminiscences… Do Not Open), Jane Ira Bloom (Picturing The Invisible: Focus 1), and Nidarosdomens Jentekor & Trondeheimsolistene (Tuvahyun – Beatitudes for a Wounded World).
‘Divine Tides’ is a nine-song album that goals to ship the message that “every particular person life performs an important position in sustaining the stability that serves all equally.”
Kej took residence his first Grammy in the perfect new age album class for ‘Winds of Samsara’ again in 2015.
As a part of his work with The Police, Copeland has received 5 Grammys. With Kej as a collaborator, that is his second award.
