WASHINGTON: Indian-American scientist Rahul Ramachandran’s essay has been revealed on NASA EarthData web site.
The essay titled ‘From petabytes to Insights: Tackling Earth Science’’ Scaling Downside’ addresses the problem of scaling in Earth science as a consequence of growing knowledge volumes.
He additionally discusses the problem of scale in science and the way the mixing of synthetic intelligence into informatics could also be an answer to this problem.
The essay was initially supposed as a presentation for the celebrated American Geophysical Union’s (AGU) annual Greg Leptoukh Lecture.
However as Ramachandran was unable to current at AGU, as a consequence of an “unexpected medical emergency throughout the household”, he tailored the lecture into an essay format.
