The European Union on Tuesday accused Microsoft of breaching antitrust guidelines with the “abusive” bundling of its Groups and Workplace merchandise.
“The European Fee has knowledgeable Microsoft of its preliminary view that Microsoft has breached EU antitrust guidelines by tying its communication and collaboration product Groups to its common productiveness purposes included in its suites for companies Workplace 365 and Microsoft 365,” the European Fee — the EU’s government arm — stated in an announcement.
Microsoft was not instantly accessible for remark when contacted by CNBC.
