UI experience across all Google apps. YouTube Music is now getting another visual update which includes some new buttons that are more in line with the Material You design principles.
Google has been slight and subtle with the rollout of the new tablet-oriented YouTube Music UI for Android phones. While we wait for its arrival, it seems like the company has quietly made some adjustments to the shape and general look of some of the buttons in the app.

The first of these changes see the current rectangular shuffle button being ditched in favor of a pill-shaped button, appearing on both playlist and album views, per 9to5Google.
Next is a large play button that’s flanked by Download, Add to library, share, and an overflow menu. As you scroll down the track list, there’s a FAB (floating action button) in the bottom-left corner.
Some users already had seen this tablet-first design appear on phones, but it never widely rolled out. More people are now seeing a tweak to the existing layout that just swaps out the rectangular shuffle and play buttons for pill-shaped buttons that are visually more prominent.
The Google-owned social media network for sharing videos, YouTube, just recently introduced a new ad style that will take effect later this month. YouTube viewers without a Premium subscription will now get up to five ads before the video even begins.
Additionally, the top portion of the home feed, which contains mood filters like Workout, Energize, Relax, etc., is now in rectangular boxes and rounded corners instead of the usual pill format.
To round out these inclusions, the More button next to playlists like Replay, Shuffled for You, etc. is now in its own pill-shaped button rather than a separate block of text.
